According to recent disclosures from Nvidia, total compensation for Huang Renxun, the company's CEO, soared 60 per cent in the last fiscal year.

Huang Renxun's total salary in fiscal year 2024 was $34.2 million, according to the latest agency documents released Tuesday afternoon. That is higher than the $21.4 million he received in fiscal 2023 and $23.7 million in fiscal 2022, although his base salary remains relatively stable at just under $1 million.

Stock awards were an important factor in Huang Renxun's salary rise in fiscal 2024. Nvidia shares rose about 200 per cent in the 2024 fiscal year to January. Huang Renxun's latest batch of annual stock awards totaled $26.7 million, up from $19.7 million the previous year.

Huang Renxun also received a non-equity incentive plan salary of $4 million. Nvidia pointed out that the company's revenue in fiscal 2024 exceeded the "extended compensation plan target", enabling Huang Renxun to receive the income.

His salary also includes about $2.5 million from "other" sources, mainly related to private security. Of that amount, about $2.2 million is related to safety, consulting, surveillance and car and driver services. The previous year's salary was worth less than $700000.
